IRMO, S.C. — Irmo SC golf has a busy weekend on the state association calendar. The South Carolina Golf Association, whose office is at 7701 St. Andrews Road in Irmo, lists two championship stops for Nov. 9 and 10.
The Carolinas Net Amateur Championship runs Nov. 9-10 at Longleaf Golf and Country Club in Pinehurst. The Lathrop Cup, now in its 19th year, is a one-day stop on Nov. 9 at Musgrove Mill Golf Club in Clinton. Both appear on the association’s 2026 championships schedule.
The Irmo office anchors that statewide slate. Reach the association at P.O. Box 286 in Irmo, or call the St. Andrews Road desk at 803-732-9311.
Across a full year the association runs about 25 major championships, eight Forty-Plus Series events, roughly 10 U.S. Golf Association qualifiers and other contests for men and women. The November pair sits near the end of that 2026 board, after October stops at Spring Valley, Fripp Island, Florence and Columbia Country Club.
The Net Amateur draws South Carolina players into a Carolinas field at Longleaf. The Lathrop Cup gathers competitors at Musgrove Mill the same Monday the Net Amateur opens. Neither venue is in Irmo, but both are run from the association’s Midlands headquarters on St. Andrews Road, not far from Crickentree Country Club in the Dutch Fork area of Irmo.
The group bought the St. Andrews Road property for $825,000 in late 2025 and planned a mid-2026 move after renovations. It is a nonprofit founded in 1929 to promote and serve the game, and it also houses the South Carolina Junior Golf Association and Junior Golf Foundation under the same roof.
Local players who want entry details, live scoring or past champion lists can start with the competitions desk at the Irmo office rather than hunting scattered course sites. The schedule itself is marked subject to change, so confirming start times and formats before traveling remains the safe move.
