Among the latest offers extended by South Carolina are key positions such as quarterback, linebacker, and tight end/defensive end, showcasing the program’s ongoing efforts to build a strong future roster.

Highlighting this recruitment push is Wonderful Monds IV, a 6-foot-2, 224-pound quarterback from Vero Beach, Florida. Last season, Monds excelled on the field, passing for an impressive 2,200 yards, achieving 23 touchdowns and rushing for over 500 yards. In addition to the Gamecocks, Monds has attracted attention from major programs, receiving offers from Alabama, North Carolina, Wake Forest, Ole Miss, Ohio State, Georgia Tech, Pitt, Auburn, West Virginia, NC State, Texas A&M, Georgia, Tennessee, and Arkansas.

Another noteworthy prospect is Malik Morris, a linebacker from Lakeland, Florida. Morris stands at 6 feet 1 inch and weighs 230 pounds and has also garnered interest from top-tier universities, holding offers from LSU, Georgia, Missouri, Texas, Colorado, Maryland, and Alabama.

South Carolina has also offered a position to Asher Ghioto, a tight end/defensive end from Jacksonville, whose imposing frame at 6 feet 5 inches tall and 240 pounds makes him an intriguing addition to any program.

Prospects on the Horizon

In a related series of developments, the Gamecocks’ coaching staff visited Brian Harris, a defensive tackle from Jacksonville. Harris has released a top ten list of prospective schools, which includes South Carolina, Alabama, Auburn, Colorado, Michigan, Mississippi State, West Virginia, Stanford, Penn State, and Oklahoma. He is scheduled for an official visit to South Carolina on May 30th.

Additionally, Kamari Blair, an offensive tackle from Clarksville, Tennessee, is set to take an official visit to South Carolina on June 6th. Recently receiving an offer from Wisconsin, Blair has plans for upcoming visits to Florida State, Ole Miss, and Kentucky.

Wide receiver Ryan Mosley has made adjustments to his official visit schedule, moving his visits to Georgia and Alabama to May 16th and May 30th, respectively, while keeping South Carolina’s visit on June 6th. Meanwhile, safety Jowell Combay, another target for the Gamecocks, has an official visit scheduled for June 6th, as he is also exploring opportunities with Missouri, Wisconsin, and Tennessee.

Clemson and South Carolina Updates

In related news from rival university Clemson, wide receiver Cederian Morgan, a coveted recruit, is preparing for a commitment announcement on July 2nd after taking official visits at Colorado, Georgia, Clemson, Florida, Auburn, and Alabama. Also, Clemson has made an offer to Fletcher Turk, a 6-foot-6, 270-pound offensive tackle from Dacula, Georgia, who has previously visited the university for a spring practice.

South Carolina and Clemson target running back Carsyn Baker has recently gained attention with a new offer from Texas, while the Missouri football program has extended an offer to Jaiden Bryant, a 2027 defensive end from Irmo.

Baseball Commitment

On the baseball front, the South Carolina team has secured a commitment from Patrick Evans, an infielder from Florence-Darlington Tech. Notably, Evans boasts an impressive batting average of .462 this season, with ten home runs and 68 RBIs, making him a valuable addition to the roster.
