Exciting News for Columbia: Peak Drift Brewing Co. Opens New Taproom!

Columbia residents, get ready to raise your glasses! Peak Drift Brewing Co., a beloved name in craft brewing, is expanding its horizons and opening an official taproom at the Downtown Columbia hotspot, Smoked. This exciting partnership officially launches as the brewery continues to grow and build its production capabilities.

From Plans to Reality

Initially, Peak Drift had plans to set up a taproom at their North Main location, aiming for a launch back in the fall of 2023. However, as the brewery’s ambitions grew—alongside its production and distribution needs—it was clear that a different approach was necessary. Rather than going it alone, Peak Drift decided to team up with Smoked, where they’ve already seen success hosting their popular Patio Parties.

These lively events, which showcase Peak Drift brews, have become a favorite among locals and have proven that there’s a real appetite for a dedicated Peak Drift experience. Now, with a full menu available at Smoked, guests can indulge in a more extensive selection of brews than ever before!

A Unique Taproom Experience

The new taproom will meld the cozy atmosphere of an upscale brewery with the elegance of fine dining. As a guest, you can opt to enjoy your drinks at the main bar, the vibrant Oasis Lounge, or even on the delightful back patio that encourages good times with family and friends. Smoked is perfect for both casual get-togethers and special celebrations, making it a fantastic option no matter your mood.

Master Brewer Jordan Skeen explains, “Smoked has been the home of Peak Drift’s microbrewery since its inception in 2021, and will continue to act as a hub for one-of-a-kind beverages that are exclusively available here.” So, while you might find Peak Drift brews in stores and restaurants across the state, the taproom at Smoked will feature those unique flavors you can’t find anywhere else!

What’s on the Menu?

With the new expansion, you can look forward to a delightful array of options. Guests will have access to the Patio Party menu, now incorporated into the official Peak Drift taproom offerings. This means plenty of exciting brews are on tap, with 16 different Peak Drift selections available throughout the restaurant.

And, if you’re a fan of innovative trends, check out their new Delta-9 THC seltzers! The brewery is not only expanding into craft brews but also the trendy world of hard seltzers, ensuring they keep things fresh and exciting for all patrons.

Community Roots and Global Growth

Along with expanding their menu, Peak Drift remains deeply committed to the local community. The brewery prides itself on sourcing top-notch ingredients from nearby orchards and practices environmentally sustainable brewing methods. They even feature the only in-house can printer in the state, reinforcing their dedication to local craft and innovation.

On a global scale, they’ve broken barriers by being among the first South Carolina beers distributed internationally, with plans reaching as far as Denmark and Switzerland. That’s a lot of love for craft beer coming from the heart of Columbia!

Looking Ahead

As Peak Drift Brewing Co. steps into this new chapter with their taproom at Smoked, the company’s CEO Jordan Styles emphasizes the spirit of collaboration that defines the craft beer community. “We are excited to be at the forefront of something special, helping the local breweries thrive along the way,” he said.

So, whether you’re a die-hard fan of craft beer or just looking for a great place to unwind with friends and family, head over to Smoked and check out the new Peak Drift taproom. Raise a glass to local businesses, vibrant flavors, and exciting times ahead!
