COLUMBIA, SC – FEMA Offers Help to Hurricane Helene Victims
Hey there, Columbia residents! If you’re still feeling the impacts of Hurricane Helene, we’ve got some good news for you. The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has set up a number of local Disaster Recovery Centers across our area. These centers are here to lend a helping hand and make the recovery process just a bit easier.
Where to Find Help
If you’re in Lexington County, you can stop by the Disaster Recovery Center located at the Batesburg-Leesville Fire Station on West Church Street. This center is open daily from 8 AM to 7 PM, and will be available until November 22. So, if you need assistance with recovery efforts, this is the place to go!
For our friends in Fairfield County, FEMA is also here for you! The Disaster Recovery Center is located at the Boykin Recreation Center in Winnsboro. This center has extended hours on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 8 AM to 7 PM. Don’t worry if you can’t make it during the week—mark your calendars for special hours on November 17 from 3 PM to 6 PM, and then back to regular hours from November 18-21 from 8 AM to 7 PM.
