IRMO, S.C. — Irmo rolled to a 56-14 road win over Midland Valley on Friday night in Week 9 SCHSL play, with quarterback Britton Davis throwing three touchdown passes and adding a rushing score.
The Yellow Jackets’ final appeared on statewide scoreboards alongside other Midlands results from Oct. 16. Nearby, Dutch Fork blanked River Bluff 42-0 to clinch the Region 3-5A title at 7-0.
Irmo’s margin left little doubt after a night that also featured other Midlands finals on the same statewide listings. The Jackets will carry the win into the next stretch of the regular season as region races tighten across the Midlands.
Friday’s slate underscored how quickly scores can shift playoff seeding for Irmo-area fans following both the Yellow Jackets and the Silver Foxes on the same night.
