# Irmo Pair Land Spots on Touchstone Energy Bowl Rosters

IRMO, S.C. — Two Irmo High seniors are on the South roster for the Touchstone Energy Cooperatives Bowl, the statewide all-star football game set for Dec. 12 in Myrtle Beach.

Fresh lists name 88 graduating seniors from 69 programs. Kickoff is midday Saturday, Dec. 12, at the Doug Shaw venue on the Grand Strand. Electric co-ops have underwritten the matchup since 2013, and Mr. Football will be unveiled at the break after finalists drop on Oct. 30.

Defensive back Jamar Grissett is listed among the South secondary. Running back Tai Phillips also appears on the South backfield group, though the roster note says he is injured and cannot play. Both selections keep the Yellow Jackets represented in the Lowcountry-Midlands half of the all-star split.

Other Midlands names on the South side include players from Dutch Fork, Brookland-Cayce, Gilbert, Lugoff-Elgin and Camden. The North roster leans Upstate, with Ridge View, Fountain Inn, Dorman and Byrnes among the programs listed.

Irmo High School competes in Lexington-Richland School District Five. The December showcase gives Yellow Jacket fans a statewide stage even with Phillips sidelined for the game itself.
