## Upstate High School Football Players Deliver Strong Week 6 Performances

Several Upstate high school football players delivered notable performances during Week 6 of the SCHSL season. Trenton Lynch, a running back for Spartanburg, rushed for 262 yards and a touchdown in a victory against Charlotte Latin. Lynch has accumulated 493 rushing yards in his last two games, including 231 yards against Byrnes, bringing his season total to 827 yards. Also for Spartanburg, Aryan Desai completed all seven of his passes for 111 yards and two touchdowns, while Skyler Douglas contributed two touchdowns and 85 yards on three catches. BJ Dawkins had seven catches for 70 yards, and Tre’gan Mickler returned a kick for a 92-yard touchdown in the 39-34 win.

Eastside’s Ke’Lyn Durham ran for 167 yards and three touchdowns in a win over Easley. Teammate Bennett Hyde recorded two interceptions, which he returned for a total of 112 yards. For Easley, Preston Bivens rushed for 98 yards and a touchdown on 19 carries in their loss to Eastside.

Brymier Miller of Chesnee ran for 130 yards and four touchdowns in a 35-19 victory against Blue Ridge. Cam McGill of Broome carried the ball 30 times for 157 yards and a touchdown in a 28-13 loss to Riverside.

Dorman saw strong offensive output from Nick Means, who ran for three touchdowns, including a 77-yard score, in a 48-35 win against Sumter. Cooper Patterson, also from Dorman, threw for two touchdowns and ran for another.

Cameron Nash of Byrnes contributed a 29-yard interception return for a touchdown in the third quarter of a 20-17 loss to Gaffney. Corey Taylor of Gaffney completed 7 of 13 passes for 103 yards and a touchdown, adding 70 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 15 carries.

Spencer Cox of Christ Church had 12 catches for 144 yards and a touchdown in a 34-20 loss to Hampton County. Cullen Spence of Liberty rushed for 187 yards on 25 attempts and scored three touchdowns in a 28-13 win over Travelers Rest. Muntu Brown of Wrem had 25 carries for 178 yards and two touchdowns in a 33-20 win against Lugoff-Elgin.
