## Gamecocks Reach Semifinals at M15 Columbia Tournament

Two wild card entries from the University of South Carolina’s tennis team have advanced to the semifinals at the M15 tournament in Columbia, South Carolina. Junior Gabe Avram secured his spot when his teammate, Antonin Witz of France, retired while trailing 6-0. Senior Sean Daryabeigi also reached the semifinals by defeating Oklahoma freshman Tito Chavez of Spain with scores of 6-4, 7-6(3). Daryabeigi is also competing in the doubles semifinals alongside his teammate, Max Stenzer of Germany.

Another Gamecock wild card, sophomore Charlie Swaine of Great Britain, was defeated by eighth-seeded TCU sophomore Oliver Bonding of Great Britain with scores of 6-4, 6-0 in the M15 Columbia tournament. Swaine had previously achieved a notable victory in the second round, defeating top seed John Hallquist Lithen of Sweden.
